Special details:
No embargo
The race area is out of bounds to runners before the race
Please follow the ‘Race area, no access to runners’ signs.
The race area is a Vauban fortress with many special features.
Here are a few examples with how they are shown on the map:
High wall, represented by symbol 521.1, enlarged 2x
Tunnels, represented by symbol 518.1 and overprinted with symbol 708.1 in purple
Bridges, represented by symbol 512.1 (you can go under them)
Staircases within ramparts
90% of the race will take place over natural terrain (grass, heathland) and 10% on tarmac.
The end of the race (last 300 metres) is in the forest.
Cars are allowed within the fortress. Respect the highway code (you do not have priority) and pay attention to vehicles, particularly when going through the north and south gates of the fortress.
The ramparts are very steep. So take care if you are running nearby!
And be careful – there are a very large number of controls. It would be a pity to mispunch on the first day!
Toilets on the arena only.
